Erith

The late wife of Randal. She was a lovely, plump and gingerhaired woman who came from the mainland, from the Cygnia kingdom. (de stad dichtbij de zee) She has always known life on the farm, since her parents were farmers themselves. Erith loved being a farmer and everything that came with that, but her parents desired her future to be different. When Erith was of age, she was to be sent to a school in Illumé to study. Erith, was angry with this decision at first. Once she understood that her parents had saved lots of money for her to persue an actual carreer, she agreed to go.   Fortunately, Erith wasn’t making the journey to Illumé alone. It was a cherished tradition for young men and women to pursue their dreams in the famed capital, a place where possibilities seemed endless. Each year, those of her age would gather to travel together to Illumé, and this year was no exception. They set sail by boat—a journey that, for Erith, was the longest she had ever spent at sea. The trip from the harbor to the capital took several days, but with favorable weather, they arrived safely on the shores of Fhanor. During their travels, the group passed through Bucklewhyte , a small settlement where they were forced to stop for the night due to several travelers falling ill. It was there that Erith met Randal, a young man of her age who lived on a beautiful farm surrounded by his large and loving family. The simple, idyllic life he led was everything Erith had dreamed of—she longed for a big family and a peaceful existence on a farm. It wasn’t long before she and Randal fell deeply in love, leaving Erith torn between following her heart and honoring her parents’ sacrifices for her future.   Unable to ignore her dream, Erith wrote to her parents through the nearest Pidgeoneer, seeking their blessing. The reply came just as her group was preparing to resume their journey. Her parents, understanding her heart's desire, gave their permission for her to stay in Bucklewhyte and live the life she yearned for. Erith settled into her new life with Randal, keeping in regular contact with her family through letters.   Years later, after marrying Randal and embracing her dream, tragedy struck. Erith fell ill with a common disease that plagued the region. Despite their best efforts, her condition worsened, and she passed away, leaving Randal to grieve the loss of the love they had shared.
