Research on One-eyed venus-piranha plants
The first thing that I have noticed about one-eyed venus plants is that they change colour, depending on the season. In spring and summer, they are a lightish shade of bottle green. In autumn, some patches of their leaves and skin turn sienna or even amaranth. In winter, they turn a dark shade of brown but do have some patches which are sienna coloured from the previous season. Another reason why they can vary in colours is where they live; for example, if one were to find a one-eyed venus plant in an aridvale, it would show colours of moss green and chartreuse.
