The training takes different amounts of time depending on the person's affinity for it, but usually, it takes at least seven years. There is a trial that takes place right before the ceremony of appointment, Sumonen Zageka, can begin.

Appointment

ASumonenis chosen after a previous one's death, or removal, by the Mune. A trial to see that the candidate is fit for the role is held before the ceremony part of Sumonen Zagekastarts. If the candidate should fail, the Mune have choosen second and third candidates that are ready to go through the trial. A second candidate has never failed the trial.
