The vemeltre of Vermegia met his future squice in 520, when he was 16 and she was 11. It wasn't love at first sight for either of them, but they found each other agreeable enought to accept their parents wish for them to get married in the future. They didn't meet again until three years later, at a Lege Piassi in Vendarica.
After this they started exchanging letters, and feelings grew on Porzo's side. Noikāie was not falling in love with her future vencu, but she was not against marrying him, and she thought she could grow to love him in the future.
In 526 the war broke out in Vermegia, and Wokoʻī soon came to Vermegia's defense. The wedding had to be postponed, and they did not marry when Noikāie turned 18 as was planned. It would be three years later that they could get married, in 530. The wedding wasn't as lavish as it would have been without the crushing cost of the war, but it was still a huge affair. The war was going terribly, but Kāhinu had joined in the war and things were looking up. The nio, Quidro and ri, Croglia of Vermegia were desperate for the vemeltre to have an heir, so they encouraged the marriage to go ahead despite the war. It was also a much needed reason for the people to celebrate.
The vevei moved to live in Vendarica with her vencu in 530 and they produced an heir, meltre Ezzio in 531.
Despite the war they lived a comfortable life, but Noikāie was not happy. She was lonely in Vendarica, with no one who could speak to her in her own language. She was quite surprised when Porzo and her were making love one night and he said "wae mae pāu" with an awful pronounciation. The declaration of love in her own tongue made the vevei cry with joy. Porzo had been learning Hāu in secret to surprise her.
The nio died in 542 and Porzo took over the throne. By this time the pair had four children: meltre Ezzio, meltre Ravo, meltre Vucio and vei Vanna. The war was still raging on and the tide had turned once more, and Porzo was out fighting in the war. As vemeltre he hadn't been obligated to fight in the war, but as nio he couldn't abandon his soldiers. It was not the way of the Vermegian. He was hardly home for months on end, and the ruling was left to his squice since Ezzio was still too young to make any decicions.
In 548 Porzo was captured at The Battle of Villalas and was used as a baragining tool in the peace negotiations. When Noikāie refused the demands of Pan Giron Onunuran Se they sent her a box with her vencu's eyes. She quickly sent word that they would agree to the demands and she and Porzo signed The Villalas Treaty, finally ending the war and bringing peace to the country.
Porzo was never quite the same after the torture he had to endure, and Noikāie awoke most night to screaming. He died in 551 and his young piro, Ezzio took over the throne, only 20 years old.
Nicknames & Petnames
Porzo used to call her Uopa vei when they first met and in his letter to her before their marriage. When they were married he started calling her Uopa squice instead. After he had learnt Hāu he called her ū nonāi in her language instead of his.
