Chisicchi (ki-ˈsik-ki)

When first employed in this career you are a Chiro, the one who gets to do all the dirty work while the Chisicchi gets all the glory. Expect to trudge through mud and quicksand with your Chisicchi on your back, keeping their boots dry, while yours get lost somewhere along the way. But don't worry. In 15 to 20 years you will rise to the shoulders of your very own Chiro, as a Chisicchi yourself, if your survive that long.

Now, should you be the best out of all your colleagues, you could potentially get the highly coveted position of Chisicchiche, the Chisicchi of the nio himself. Finally you can retire from all that adventuring, and spend your days in the palace, yelling at map makers and writing reports for the nio and his advisors. However, this is most likely just a dream, since there can only be one Chisicchiche and you are most likely not that person.

The purpose is to gather information of uncharted territories for the nio of Nulmagio. Expect to get attacked by bandits, tortured by primitive, uncivilized folk and hunted by beasts, all the while taking notes and making provisorial maps for the Chisicchiche back at the capital.
