Nyx (Nix)

History

Nyx was born with a congenital heart-defect called Septal atrial defect, Pandora was very disappointed and hated Nyx. She wouldn't take proper care of Nyx and it caused a lot of arguing between her and Zelus.  Raven had to step in and take care of Nyx as an infant because Pandora was purposely neglecting her, and her father didn't come home until late at night. As Nyx got older, she became shy, awkward, had no friends and was bullied. That made Pandora see Nyx as an embarrassment. Once Pandora found out she could use Nyx's disabilities to sympathy from other people, Pandora would be nice to her public. In private, however, Pandora was a mean bitch who did everything in her power to hurt Nyx. During divorce Nyx had to live with her on school days only. After dropping out, Zelus had full custody. Pandora was upset and told everyone Zelus was doing this to hurt her but had to stop after Nyx told a half-truth that Pandora was struggling with her addiction, and due to health reasons, it was putting Nyx in danger. So, Zelus took custody of Nyx and told Pandora if she wants to see Nyx so badly, then she has to fix her alcoholism and quit smoking completely. That made everyone think that Zelus was just trying to protect Nyx and Pandora was the bad guy for not wanting to quit her addiction. It didn't help that a neighbor told them Pandora blacked out once and had to hospitalized, and friends reported that she's always the first to get drunk. A friend also revealed that the bathroom smelled like cigarettes because Pandora would secretly smoke in there.

Pandora will insult Nyx and call her other cruel names. Nyx refers to Pandora as a bitch. There are times that Pandora will call her Nixie in a baby voice.

Relationship Reasoning

Pandora hated Nyx and treated her badly. She only cared about her kids if they were popular, pretty/handsome, and loved by everyone. Nyx was very shy, thus not being popular, and was bullied. Pandora called Nyx ugly and made fun of her hair while Eve was praised for having Natural blue hair. Nyx's hair was darker. As Nyx got her health problems Pandora saw her as imperfect, full of flaws, and unworthy of being her daughter.

History

When Nyx was baby, Zelus was the only taking proper care of her, as Pandora would only feed or change her once or twice and ignore her. Because of this, she grew to be a daddy's girl. She would always go to him if she needed something. After Raven ran away, Zelus came home less, and Nyx felt like it was her fault somehow. She had mixed feelings about her dad, she still loved him very much but was hurt and thought he abandoned her. After the Divorce Zelus was in charge of all of Nyx's file and was able to get her an IEP. He did everything he could to get full custody of Nyx, but the judge wanted her to finish school. (Un)fortunately, Nyx dropped out which meant Zelus had full custody of her until she turned 18.

Relationship Reasoning

Nyx had a rocky relationship. Zelus didn't do anything about Pandora's abuse and Nyx took it personally. Zelus barely came home, so Nyx assumed he wanted nothing to do with his family and expected him to know nothing about her.

History

When Nyx was born, she noticed Pandora wasn't paying attention to her so Raven took the role of Nyx's caregiver. When Nyx was sick Raven was willing to skip classes just so Nyx wouldn't be alone in the hospital.

History

Alex first saw Nyx when Stephanie was making fun of her blue hair. He tried being friends with her but Nyx didn't trust him at first. It took some time but Nyx started trusting him and slowly returned his feelings.

Alex has a habit of calling Nyx pet names likes "Sweetheart," "Darling," which annoyed her, so he stopped once he discovered her name. He'll still occasionally call her pet names, but Nyx has grown to like it.

Alex has been so used to girls crushing on throwing themselves on him, so when Nyx didn't easily fall for his charm, he felt a huge sense of attraction over her.

History

Dr. Han first met Nyx when she was rushed to the hospital after passing out in kindergarten. Nyx was his very first and favorite patient. He had a soft spot for her, would secretly spoil her with snacks and taught her Korean. Dr. Han was the one who did Nyx's heart surgery without giving her a huge scar. Dr. Han knew Nyx was special and often times didn't trust other staff members with things like administering medication or taking labs, he was a bit overprotective of her. Dr. Han hated Pandora and refused her access to any of Nyx's appointments or hospitalizations and would only talk to Zelus or Raven. When Nyx was off to college Dr. Han went through a phase of depression. Nyx was one of a kind, he'll never have another patient like her. However, years later, Nyx was doing her cardiology residency at the hospital she went to as a child. When Dr. Han found out he was very happy and took Nyx under his wing, teaching her all his tricks, techniques, secrets, and more.

Nyx would call him Seongsangnim 성상님 and he would call her Jagiya 작이야, which is like darling, or Hanja 한자 and many other korean nicknames from child, blue child, etc.

Relationship Reasoning

Nyx was Dr. Han's 1st patient, she was unforgettable and without a doubt, his favorite. It started when one surgeon made a small mistake with the incision and Dr. Han called him out. He ended up doing the surgery, Nyx woke up multiple times, making weird comments and Dr. Han would say "미안해요 자기야 Mianhaeyo, Jagiya," if she said ouch or "뭐라고 Mworago?" if she said something weird.

They both a love of seemingly unhealthy foods. Dr. Han also got Nyx hooked on korean food, especially Kimchi. he even gave her a cookbook with copies of his and his mother's recipes.

Shared Secrets

Nyx had a crush on Dr. Han, and he had a bit of a crush on her. Many times Dr. Han wanted to take Nyx to his house and not let her go. Every time he saw Pandora he wanted to take Nyx and protect her. There were many times he told Zelus that he can let Nyx live with him.

History

Nyx and Lisa met when she came from school and Lisa and their mom went shopping, leaving Nyx to take care of four bratty boys. who were 13, 11, 8 and 6. They were rude, demanding, defiant, troublesome. Nyx made them play outside or put the TV, but felt the need to loudly announce to her that they were hungry for unhealthy food.   Nyx had no idea she had a half-sister until she came home from school. Lisa came over often with her boys and would annoy Nyx, treating her like a baby.
