Sentient Forest is a forest located near Auror.
Geography
The Sentient Forest is a forest located near Auror, a city that is in a mountainous area. It is expected that the terrain is rough and would feature slopes and plateaus. When ventured deep enough, a deep ravine can be discovered and can be traversed with the right equipment. The water in the ravine is bitterly cold with chunks of ice that float within it, thus swimming in it will always result in severe hypothermia. Careful traversal across the ravine is highly recommended.
Ecosystem
The Sentient Forest is considered an Ecological Dead Zone. Why it was unable to sustain life even before the Azure Fog arrived and made its abode there is unknown and has been a subject of heavy theorization.
One of the possible causes of this is the soil of Sentient Forest. Flora play a big part in creating an ecosystem as it is the first food source and marks as the beginning of the ecosystem's food chain. As it is covered in snow and will be for the coming years, the temperature and moisture of the soil could not sustain flora and subsequently, the fauna.
Localized Phenomena
Thick fog covers the entirety of the forest. It was severe that the visibility distance has been significantly reduced to 0.1 - 0.2 km. The fog is also noted to be cold, almost freezing, thus extra layers of clothing or having natural cold immunity can help in prevention or delay of hypothermia symptoms. The fog shows no signs of clearing, even during warmer seasons.
Another phenomenon that is exclusive to Sentient Forest is of psychological nature. Adventurers who had ventured into the forest and managed to return often report a feeling a confusion and dread as the Sentient Forest seems to have looped and twisted the paths. It is unknown if the paths somehow rearranging itself to loop back into one another is a natural phenomenon.

Climate
The Sentient Forest's climate is an anomaly that requires further expeditions and study to confirm its properties. But as of recording, the Sentient Forest holds a constant temperature of -25º celsius or lower. But it is also known to drop to -30º to -35º celsius during the colder months.
Fauna & Flora
The flora and fauna of the Sentient Forest are nonexistent. The Sentient Forest consists of tall, leafless, and unidentifiable species of trees that are 73m - 100m tall. Judging from the branches, there are multiple species of trees that were mysteriously unable to bear fruit nor leaf.
There were no Fauna recorded to live and thrive in the forest before the Azure Meteor Event. However, after the event, the Azure Fog became the sole inhabitant of the ecologically dead forest and somehow survived and thrived within it.
Natural Resources
As Sentient Forest is a restricted area, attempting to gather resources from the forest is not recommended. There is a high likelihood that Sentient Forest has no natural resources that can be gathered, as evidenced by the archives stating that it is an Ecological Dead Zone.
