Located within Lamware Warf, this frozen ice cavern houses the cruel laboratory of Bilge Osmium.

Purpose

At one point, this would have been filled with sea water, but once Lamware Warf was anchored in place, it naturally drained out and the remaining water runs froze over creating large empty pockets in the ice connected through thin tunnels.
Once Father Osmium moved in, with the help of his Thralls he excavated and molded the chambers to his own fowl will. Creating a laboratory where he created the gastropod creatures that could force his will upon an entity permenantly.
Father Osmium also found a way to infuse the blood of slain innocents into a violent "unholy water" which amplified the power of his Vampiric curse.

Descriptions

Entrance The blizzard outside wails intensly through the cavern. The lack of light turns the ice covered walls into mirroing darkness. A lit torch illuminates the space which reflects the light down the corridor. Shades of white and light blues shimmer on the walls and floor where ice has formed and melted and reformed over time. Icicles hang precariously from the ceiling, the largest sitting on the mouth of the cave and gradually shrinking as the cave bends around a corner.
Entry Passage The noise of the blizzard quells behind the first bend into the cavern, the steep decline would be slippery if not for the thick layer of snow that has blown in. Someone with acute hearing amy hear the shuffle of creatures beyond the passage, depending on the noise they themselves make. The glistening walls of ice begin to rise as the path leads down, reaching just on the edge of a torches light before opening up into a wide room that expands into a concourse joining three other paths.
Concourse A large rounded concourse connects the passage way to the surface as well a three other paths. To those with keen sight a faint flickering of light can be made on the south-western passage, but to those with keen hearing the sound of animals is dangerously close to the south-east. Not more than three feet into the concourse a family of dire-wolves lies waiting to pounce, with the alpha male and a cub preparing to ambush the party from the north.
An encounter with a Winter Wolf, a Dire Wolf, and six "normal" wolves encountered here.
The wolves den to the south-east is barren of much more than some smothered ice drifts and sparse bones and torn cloth. The south-west passage gives of strong necromantic energies and is colder than even the blizzard outside. To the north the concourse leads to a long passage that curves west out of sight.
Osmiums Laboratory A faint flickering of light comes from just beyond the cracks in the wooden door that stands out of place amoung the walls of ice. Beyond the door lies a wooden room, twenty five feet long, and fiveteen feet deep. The walls rise up about eight feet and are anchored to the ice every few inches, as the ceiling is open showing the ice cavern that ends nearly twenty feet up.
There is a smell of decay that permiates the entire room, several manacles are embedded on the west wall, empty and rusted over and caked in blood. In the northern corner lies all manner of equipment, several species of slug lay dismembered, pinned open and scribbled notes of properties, names, different reactions to magical and chemical procedures. Sketches of a long slug like creature is scrawled onto a large piece of paper against the back wall, although most of the notes surrounding it have been damaged by melting ice the creature seems to be fed to an unsuspecting host where it blocks their asophagous and assumes a parasitic mind control over the host.

Passage North
"The crystal like ice forms the exterior of the cave, hidden just beneath a berm of snow. The narrow hallways split down two corridors, to the left reaches out towards the cruel laboratory of Osmium, and to the right...well darkness and bats. The smell of a dozen corpses permiates the air, an unforgiviable scene as bodies of men, women, and children of all races are pilled high. -Kosef O'Sullivan
