Northern Wastes

A vast region, larger even than the frontier, almost nothing is known about the Northern Wastes. The area was unexplored even during the Dawn Times, and remains wild and generally unexplored. It is known that, long before the War of Undying, the Elves sent a few expeditions into the area, but there are no surviving records from those expeditions. The Giants are known to have many communities in the region, perhaps entire nations, but even the friendliest of Giants aren't open to discussing such things. What few explorers and adventurers have survived travel into this area report a vast land of varied terrain, temperatures ranging from temperate to extreme cold, all manner of monstrosities, remnants of the Undying Horde, and even strange otherworldly horrors. Whatever might lie in these vast lands, it takes immense capability, and foolhardy courage, to travel within these realms if one wishes to survive the journey.
