A Family Man
In the then village of Soksu Javen Kolos was born in the waning decades of the Time of Rebuilding to a family of skilled carpenters, the youngest of seven siblings. He learned the family trade and became himself the father of seven children. As dedicated to his children as his parents were to him, he did everything he could to ensure they would all become valued members of their community. He spent most of his time at their home workshop but occasionally had to make trips to make deliveries, make deals, or do work in other communities.An Invitation Best Refused
While returning to Soksu from a visit to a village upriver, Javen came across a fae banquet. Drawn in as if entranced by the scene, he couldn't refuse. The meal cost him a hundred years and when he returned his village had grown into a city, his family was gone, replaced by their descendants, and a new era had dawned with the flight of the first skyship, the Harani. He found his descendants, many recognized him from an old portrait and from the stories of their ancestor who disappeared. His children all went on to have many children of their own, becoming well known not only in Soksu but across Zinato for their skills in various professions.Appearance
Javen is approximately 1.7 meters tall and possesses a muscular body. His facial hair grows quickly, though he tries to shave it down to only sideburns. The hair on his head is black - with no sign of greying despite his age - and each hair is tough, thicker than they should be. His canines are larger than the average. He is known for wearing gloves all the time and pairs them with a long-sleeved jacket and long pants, hiding all his skin, save the face. When the wind has rustled his hair and the jacket is unbuttoned, he truly looks like a man of the wilds.Stub Article

The faefruit that Javen consumed was not a fruit but the meat of an animal. Since then he has avoided eating meat in the presence of others, as once he gets a taste of it, he starts to lose control and consumes it with a frightening, uncontrollable, gluttony. There are rumors that such people have taken the form of a wild beast, losing their thoughts and control of their bodies. When rare individuals like this are not lost in their beastial forms, they possess enhanced senses, bordering on the supernatural and may even have additional boons.
