Renyth (Ren-ith)

The draconic kingdom of Renyth is considered one of the two keyston nations along with the empire of Zura. It monarch rules by the grace of The Great Dragon who's lineage has provided guidance to the ruling family since the birth of the kingdom.

Structure

At a time each of the eight Dragon Crests supported a noble family within the political structure of Renyth with the monarchy title falling to the family granted support by The Great Dragon and their Crest. Each house provides council or resources to the monarchy during turbulent times each with their own area of expertise and duty. Over eras the eight was reduced to four noble houses with draconic support as other dragon Crests left on their own accord or were expelled for attempting to surplant the ruling family. Those noble houses whose support has been lost turn towards the antithesis of their once supporters Crest. The noble houses are split in group between the Luster and the Obstance house, or those true to their Crest and those opposed to its meaning.   [House] the Luster house of the Scarlett Crest are the royal family of the Monarch and oversees Renyth's military forces. As the heir to the monarchy is chosen by the Great Dragon, and not determined by and linegage, the members of the noble house often end up as the leaders of Renyth's military, but some hold other high ranking governmental positions.   [House] tend the learning institutions and repositorys. Many are counsolers, proffesors, librarians or deans of these institutions. As the Luster house of the Cobalt Crest they have strong ties with the Enclave of Secrets, with many of the houses members being a part of the Enclave, often bluring the lines between the two. The word of [House]'s head is considered only second to the word of the Monarch. While there loyalty to the monarch is firm, nor is there ever conflict with the [House Red], tension between the two houses is public knowledge.   [House] govern the military and enforce rule of law in Renyth. The eldest of the Obsidian Crest serve as Justices of the peace within the Kingdom while the members of the Luster house govern enforcement of law and commerce within Renyth.   [House], also known as the Orphan house, is the Luster house of the Steel Crest. Destruction caused by dragons is rare in Renyth's borders it is not immpossible. To that end the [House] personaly takes on the duty of raising any child whose family is lost to the actions of a dragon. Children of these attacks are adopted into the house and refered to Iron Hiers. Many of house members give up this noble title upon coming of age and go on to join the Order of the Dragon, or other institution that fits their asperations. Those that remain are charged with caring to Renyth's orphanages in addition to the younger generations of the house as there is no one family linegage tied to the house.   [House] was the first of the Obstance houses. The legend passed down by house members and told by the elder dragons of the other houses, say their benifactor fled Renyth days after the kingdoms cotification holding no intrest in the kingdoms politics. The house fell to ruin as members of the brood followed suit and the founding noble family spiraled into acts debachery. Only by the guidance of the families youngest son, who rebuked his families aesthetic life style and turned to an life of asceticism, did the house find stability in Renyth. They now serve as Dragon Sages whose order tend the temples and monastries of the kingdom.   [House], or better known by as the Rusts, are the most learned healers in Reynth leading the kingdoms military chiurgeon and medical institutions. The name Rusts come from the effects of a secret art the noble house developed to combat a wide spread plague that which was conceived and spread by the ancestor of the Amber Crest which results in their skin tanning abruptly before flaking off like rust dust over time. After the plague those associated with the Amber Crest were expelled and those of the Obstance house [House] took power.   [House] is the youngest noble house having been created after the expulsion of the Amethyst Dragons and the original noble family whose conspired with them to take the throne of Renyth. The house is comprised of the ancestors of those in the original families employ who turned against them for the sake of the kingdom. Now they serve as stewards and barons of farm lands, mining towns, and other rural communities within Renyth.   [House] was established after the Crest Wars for a brood of green dragons who rebel against their ancestor during the conflict. They along with the families of their favored comprise the noble house. The [House] supervise the maintaince of green scapes and water ways in Renyth's cities, and are responsible for the care of the wild flora and fauna of the Kingdom.
