Souka Wada (ソウカ ワダ So-u-ka Wa-da)
Souka Wada was born in 1970 on Megijima, a place for the painful reality of permanent heat. Her affliction marked her as different from the start, blueskinned, horned, and towering far beyond her peers. Unlike the red oni afflictions that a handfull of people on the island carried with brutal pride, her existence felt like an anomaly. Even among the afflicted, she was alone. Her parents recoiled from her presence, treating her height and strength as a badomen rather than a gift. By nineteen, Souka was over two meters tall, strong as any man, but isolated, painting over her skin with makeup and hiding beneath hats in a futile attempt to belong.
She found solace in craft, building a life as a costumer and makeup artist. On sets where fantasy was created, she could pretend that her reality wasn’t one of rejection. Love seemed impossible until 1993, when she met Masanori Wada. He was also afflicted by permanent heat, though in the form of a red oni, and in him Souka found something she had never known, acceptance without condition. Their bond was genuine, unmarred by fetish or fear, and in 1995, they married. That same year, twins were born Nori and Oda followed later by Raiga and Akuro another two twins in 1998. For a time, Souka believed she had beaten the curse of her birth.
But Masanori’s ambitions grew darker. What began as a modest security firm in Yorichio hardened into Wada Corporation, a power stitched together by former yakuza and mercenaries. Souka stood by him, even as the distance between them widened. Then came 2005. Oda her favorite son, the only blue oni, a reflection of her own struggle vanished. The grief hollowed her. She resented Masanori, blamed him for losing the child who had carried her legacy forward. Though she loved her other children, none filled that void. For years, she lived with quiet hatred buried beneath duty.
In 2021, the impossible happened. Oda was alive. That revelation ignited something long dormant in Souka. She could no longer tolerate being the silent matriarch of a corrupt empire. Her loyalty to Masanori broke, and she turned to the Hidora Clan, willing to betray her husband to see Wada Corporation dismantled. For her, it is no longer about revenge but redemption reshaping blood money into something that might save lives rather than ruin them. At fifty-one, scarred by grief but sharpened by purpose, Souka Wada stands tall as both oni and mother, seeking to reclaim the humanity she had once been denied.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
She stands tall, her presence striking before she even speaks. Though fifty-one, she wears the face and form of someone closer to thirty youthful and sharp, untouched by time in all the ways that matter. Her skin is a deep shade of blue, smooth and flawless, offset by the pale gleam of her hair that slips forward in loose strands, framing her face. A single horn juts from her forehead, sharp and polished, giving her silhouette a dangerous elegance. Draped over her shoulders, a long coat trimmed in thick, dark fur adds weight to her frame, swaying lightly as she moves. Beneath it, a form-fitting dress hugs close, its zipper running straight down the middle, drawing the eye before it vanishes beneath the curve of her hips. She wears stockings that stop just high enough to show the clasp of her garters, her legs wrapped in a shimmer of sheer black before ending in sharp, white heels.
Her expression is unreadable, but not empty there’s a stillness that feels deliberate, a choice to reveal nothing. Golden eyes flicker beneath the shade of her bangs, cool and watchful, never straying without reason. A pair of sunglasses rests casually atop her head, like a detail she could discard or wield at any moment. Even the strands of hair that refuse to stay in place seem intentional, a contrast to the rest of her poised, deliberate figure. Everything about her posture whispers control an elegance threaded through with quiet threat, as though every motion is weighed and chosen. She doesn’t need to move to command the space around her, and the quiet weight of her years only sharpens that presence.
