Dellidae, Maiden of Eyes

She who comes from the deep forest to bring justice to those who have wronged, and company to strangers on the road - whether they wish for the passenger.

The Maiden of Eyes is second in the 'dark pantheon', the pantheon spoken less of by those believers as there are hints that these being still manifest in the world today. From observatory to misdirected cult her reach is mighty and though her worship is forbidden (as all worship is) her influence is undeniable.

Dellidae is all eyes, and fits in that space between the trees where something or someone could or could not be. She is stranger and threat - the person at the corner of the street when you walk it alone after all are asleep. She is those eyes when you move through the deep forest paths, and are unsure if you are safe. In this manifestation her visage is that of a hooded figure. To speak to her is taboo, but to stay silent is seen as faux pas.   Dellidae, the stranger, is ghost story and cautionary tale combined. A missive that one should not travel alone or if you do, to ward against the dangers of the forest or those with ill intent.

The Lady of Justice is a different breed. In this manifestation she is depicted as nearly 15 foot tall, all her limbs are deep grey, emanciated and cracked, with eyes that bleed sunlight splitting from sockets all over her body only to close and blink. To look upon her water drenched hair and crown of oddities is to stare at her main eyes and to know you are judged. Her form is a mass of omens and trinkets and many of the wards are said to have sprung from her massive fingers.

Those that follow Dellidae are the careful, and the quiet, and her influence is seen in her fingers woven into the silence spell circuit.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The marking of her coming is the open eye or the used Banksia seed pod - who are often called the Eyes of Dellidae.

Creepy. I like that both speaking to her and not speaking to her are bad ideas.
