The Slang of Infernus
Just as Levis has its vocabulary with its multitude of sources and backgrounds so does Infernus. The language of Infernus is rife with implication over precision. While Levis could offer a name for everything given the chance, the demons are all about conveying meaning through inference.
While Levis slang and turn of phrase is an ever evolving thing, Demonic is slower, a more ancient script that has been dragged forwards like a hunk of steel ready for hammering.
Phrases like "prying one loose" both refers to discovering facts but also to the invasive nature of the information gathering method. The inverse might be to "swap songs".
Anything involving the harsh environmental conditions or the need to struggle or fight is a good source of linguistic interest. "Drew his sword needlessly" might be used for overreacting or getting heated over something trivial. While "embraced the iron winds" might imply a risk taken against something so large its scope is almost incomprehensible.
While this might be confusing to someone from Levis, correcting people in speech is considered highly rude, as adaptability in accent, emphasis and syntax are seen as the done thing and a 'correct' word usage is not as important as getting the message across.
Writing System
Demonic can be written, often as runes. it loves to be written in metal or stone, though metal holds Demonic runes better than the transient soil. Wood and plastics would be inconceivable to write on and paper is so ephemeral that it may as well be air.
With increased demon presence in Levis, the foliads under command of the Solaris Royal Court have started to try and create a dictionary of Infernus phrases, however even with multiple cross confirming points of view it was discovered that the second layer implications of various regions within Infernus made dictionaries impossible as they tried pinning down phrases that meant conflicting things depending on the region.

The last paragraph of this article is pure gold <3 " it loves to be written in metal or stone" and "paper is so ephemeral that it may as well be air." are just awesome :) I like how the language is more about conveying meaning in more descriptive ways
I'm loving playing the themes of the realms off each other. Thankyou for enjoying
