Terminals
When off, they sway like free-standing membrane in the breeze, variable of height and peppering across Levis like helpful little statues of possibility. And then the magic of the sun is passed through them, through vines of glowing worm and mucus filler, magic circuits alighting and bringing the devices to life.
When live, the terminals are capable of displaying images or text, much like a binding, though unlike a binding, are able to be linked between terminals to provide uniform and updateable information on several locations. Natare has used this idea to mass effect, firstly with the Br1n having control over the terminals, then later with the network being inherited by workers who convey relevant information across the city in discrete zones controlled by 'Tellers.'
Information, displayed with simplicity and style should be the default. All should know what you are trying to convey.

Utility
Terminals store information in the light they produce, many uses of terminals not connected to Br1n take advantage of this, with the touch based interactivity able to nest several layers of information painted and programmed into different segments and layers of the same image or text. A terminal could show a map of a large building along with the segments of the day certain areas were able for access, for example.
Social Impact
The terminal is so integral to the society that when Br1n was first becoming connected across the settlements of Levis, it was only natural that the terminals of Saburra, Brambleberry and Vertus were used to do the linking.
Terminals have been traded into Hublesstone, and to Xylos' camp, in the hopes of bringing a sense of connection, though the demon's lack of magic circuit knowledge does mean that these have been used to limited success there.

Access & Availability
Many of the towns and settlements around Levis have access to the terminal, whether they be for use with Br1n in Natare, or to display the menu discreetly in the Bara-bars of Solaris. They stretch the line of when a binding would be too complex to use, but where visual information is needed for easy display.
Complexity
The technology to the user is very simple, but the terminals themselves are so complex that they need their own Inking building, the smaller towns and settlements often taking a cart and horned bison to transport what they need from larger cities with their own manufacturing locations.
