Shade shivers
The people of Levis were not made to stray from the sunlight, and as more tasks require them to work indoors for long repetative periods, and buildings have become more enclosed over the generations, bodies have begun to feel the effects of a lack of sunlight and warmth. Thus comes the shade shivers.
Experienced firstly as a reduction in circulation in the extremities - fingers and toes, and a red swelling around the joints of such. The patient feels the creeping cold settle in from these edges, dragging itself towards their core over the next days to weeks, leaving them in constant shivering chill. They ache for the warmth that will never come, the light and the heat of the suns not meeting the flesh aching for it.
Some patients have resorted to unsafe use of artificial heat - not quite understanding the need for the warmth of the suns themselves. Dangerous acts, like putting digits on or in the fire-blossoms have resulted in serious burns and emergency visits to apothecaries for healing salves.
I just spend all the time shivering. And it's not like I can just leave my post to get the sunlight that they keep saying will do me good. We're too small a town for anyone to take over this Br1n post.
Many experts, especially those around the House of the Arcane have been working on implants and magic, consulting with the Academy out of Natare for attempts at longterm studies. As time has progressed in places like the stone towers of the demon cities one would expect to also have Shade shivers cases around their diplomats. Instead there has been a surprising absence, though the abundant stone-membranes known as Ghazz reflecting and refracting natural light through their halls seems to play no small part in their solutions.
The deep worshippers of the unnamed god out of Whencis have it worst, feeling constantly chilled in their deep caves, eyes sunken, body gnarled by the shade shivers into shapes that seem unnatural to many of the surface. While still of their base species, they feel deformed and those closer to the edge of the sect crave to see their brethren bask under the day's light.
