Foreman Abroad
In the ever shifting political dynamics of Levis with its treaties and its diplomacy both at the end of a fist and at the end of a binding, the demons not connected to the two main 'official' hubs (and then three) have come to know various little outposts home. The longest of these is the demons of the Digitos Mangroves.
It is with great sadness that the numbers of those in the mangroves was significantly culled after a diplomatic issue with those of the Nocturne Empire - who claimed hold over the mangroves as occupied territory. And so those at the camp were slaughtered. Watches were set when those not at camp returned and over time, a watch-leader was anointed to manage keeping the floating raft that was the raider camp safe.
In modern times the watch-leader has become the organisational head of the raider camp, while the raid-leader is the military head. Working together they form the Foreman-Abroad, both watch leader and raid leader holding this title so that neither can be played against each other, nor attempt to strongarm each other. Both leaders of the camp seek prosperity for the demons who have kept their calling of the fight and the battle, and to keep them safe from the more subtle threats that Levis has brung compared to their more frank home. The watch-leader is no less in a state of battle than the raid leader - fighting both the demons under her command, and the 'allies' and 'neighbours' from other communities, both Levis-born and demon alike. She keeps the supplies running, while protecting the hoard and keeping those in camp from spending resources they'll need in the riskier wet months when the Nocturne come back to take what they believe is theirs. The raid-leader is the tactician, the one in command away from the camp and the one to whom the iron should fall with should things go wrong. While they may take opinions from others, it is their will that keeps those hunting out there safe and their nerve that determines a successful hunt. They are also responsible for keeping their crew to the unspoken new rules of raiding within Levis - never taking too much, never applying lasting damage unless resistance is too great, and never stooping to brutality to those that cannot defend themselves. The raid leader also protects their crew from the things of stone or eyes or teeth from the forests - and while stone things remind them of home, stone things are no less dangerous to those of iron and fire than those of leaf and book.
