Even more on bards and demons

There is a misconception from demons and humans alike. There is no war in Ba-sing-se. No seriously, there is no grand bardic alliance. No master behind them all pulling the strings. Nothing is there to stop the Nocturne Empire expanding past its borders. Just the odd Nightbloom who does not want their little patch of nature to be under a scion's control. There was no grand conspiracy to take down the interim government, just a series of bards who realised that rebellion was bad for business.   That the demons see one in the nature of the people of Levis, their dealings much more intellectual and full of subtlety than those of the outright Incubus Lords and Succubus Ladies, the raid leaders and the pirate captains of the demons has helped dealings between Levis and demonkind - almost instilling a quiet fear and respect that has been good for community growth. Speaking of community growth, it has benefited the people of Levis to use the less lethal spycraft of the bard around the demons - specifically in keeping each hub of demonhood separate. Academy political analysts and historians have theorised that small nudges made by observant folk have combined to keep demon alliances at the level of convenience, for a recombined demon community might get seperated from Levis ideals and might get ideas.   But these things are not organised - something that confuses those humans pulled through from Tyr who still remember. They remember the corporations of their home and the masterminds that lead their people. That the politics of Levis is like a stream running down the side of a hill and not the endless tides pulled by the moon confuses the humans - though they rarely voice such opinions lest they ruin the nature of the place they are in with Ideas. That humans have only recently been open about their existence since the Human Leak took its new turn makes this fact all that more pertinent.   Still. There is no grand conspiracy. No mass bard alliance.
