Brusbann Pass
On the scorched plains of Infernus stands Brusbann pass, a massive valley between the endless mountains of the region. As obsidian spires pierce the heavens, and iron winds rip through the lands, the Pass is a moment of safety in a world of heightened sensations and heightened emotions. The Iron Demons proliferate this pass, while Lust Demons loom on their hillside manors and castles, looking over the lesser demons with their lesser desires.
Imps and Brutes work among their iron cousins, toiling to build up the towns that make up the pass while also trying to refrain from the aggression that the close quarters and high stakes provides them. On the east side of the pass is a massive crumbling spire, threatening both rockfall and to let the sweeping winds outside into their safehaven - a lethal outcome without the right protection.
And centre to the whole of the pass is the GATE a pathway into the Well of possibility and the many legendary safer realms out there. Those that have made the journey have not returned, obviously because whatever is on the other side is too glorious to leave and risk being trapped back in Infernus and within the pass.
Guile is not a useful emotion or skillset within the pass, it might have uses outside the iron storm, but the quarters are too cramped and emotions too boiling for those working hard to sure up the towns against the eventual iron winds to have any form of subterfuge. Squarks fly overhead, and roost in the rooves of the Passians, their keening cries mixing with the sounds of mining gear and construction work as magic and technology work to find release from the endless threat of the sky.

There's not really anything in your words that make this place feel hostile, but it does. Maybe 'the endless threat of the sky' colours the whole thing? Not somewhere I'd want to live, anyway.

I'm glad it worked, I'm trying to blend "iron storms that will rip you to shreds" with "People so tough that in softer parts of this world they laugh at that, and literally their skin grows iron spikes"
