They can keep their cats and dogs! All we need are our trusty Rustilian horses. A Liklanders best friend!— Borrich, Liklandic carpenter
Rustilian horses are hardy and strong beasts of burden that have a sturdy and muscular neck, a stocky body, and short legs. They have long manes and dense winter coats suited for cold winters of their native heighlands in the
Kingdom of Rustilenlân. These horses have brown or ginger coats, and despite their short stature, they are one of the strongest of all horse breeds in southern
Lethea, although they are unable to bear the weight of a full-grown adult as that would put too much pressure on the spine.
Uses
Rustilian horses are commonly used by the
Rustilians and
Liklanders as beasts of burden. They pull carts and carriages, but they're also commonly kept as faithful pets. Liklanders even allow their horses into their house during the floods, allowing them to sleep next to the rest of the family.
As they are considered valued members of their owner's family, the horses are treated well, kept clean, and they even receive a proper funeral. Rustilian horses are often taught tricks, and they participate in local competitions.
