Tarik Ashim is the current Voice of the Earth Mother and undisputed leader of Yah Thalas. He started working his way into the service of the Temple as a young initiate but quickly rose to prominence as a powerful and guided figure among the clergy. In 1198 he rose to the title of the Voice of the Earth Mother. Spiritual leader of Yah Thalas.
In 1207 he struck a deal with Adventurers from Heyfield in order to secure magitek for his city in exchange for the return of some human slaves that had been sold to them by the hobgoblin, General Kolde. Unfortunately before the deal could be completed those adventurers unleashed the Forgotten Beast Nagara from beneath the city of Yah Thalas. She killed Tarik Ashim as he tried to stop her from destroying his city.
