Ai'lir, The Mage Apprentice

He is on a mission to find his lost wizard master, Caranvir, who mysteriously vanished in the mountains near Bastionheim.   The master introduced him to the arts of arcane magic and wizardry, and Ai'lir has continued his teachings in his masters absence.   Ai'lir seeks to find out what happened to his master, and avenge him if necessary.   He sees himself raised above people who doesn't see magic as an essential part of the world. Even with those views, he has the wisdom to not go out of his way to insult or provoke those people.   He left his homeland, following his master who had traveled to Rimeterra. He didn't know why his mater would travel there. He later lost the trail and all he knows is that his master hasn't contacted him ever since, so he is very much on his own.
