Unlike Vanya Kropotkin the man known as Dragon One would not reach Barnard's Star via the colony vessel built by his birth nation. Instead he would reach Lazarus ahead of the Soviet Americans. While his father was American his mother was Japanese Australian. It would be through her that he would win a place in the lottery looking for colonists for the UNCV Ascension.

The fact that he became an employee of La Grange & Associates further helped his progress. He was actively involved as so many others were in orbital construction along with ship building. Through LG&A he gained his astronauts and shuttle pilot tickets, first class.

Accounts at the time described him as your typical worker, friendly, boisterous when on leave and dedicated to keeping himself in shape. He was also keen to keep his skillset up to date. While others slacked off he pushed himself, even when he was hungover. His aim was actually to become a crew member of one of the planned interstellar colony vessels.

It came as a surprise when he instead won a ticket as a colonist. At first it seemed like a let down, then as he thought on it further he realised it was a major opprtunity that he would never have again. He had won the means to travel and live on a new world, one untouched by humanity or humanities flaws. That was how he viewed it back in 2088 CE.

When the UNCV Ascension arrived in system in 2097 CE Ryu'ichi Dyson passed from being an ordinary colonist into the realms of legend. He was the first individual to set foot on the new world while the crew and genius of the Ascension debated what to do when signs of intelligent life were discovered. He would found a settlement dubbed Dyson's Landing on the place where he landed his 'stolen' shuttle.

From that point onwards all manner of tales & fables would be attributed to him. He would win a fortune only to loose it then win another fortune. He would marry princesses and father countless children. He would formulate an idealistic manifesto by which the new world would govern itself. He invented several unique sports for the people to practice and he would invent a new religion that all should live by.

None of these claims have been ever proved, sadly they have not been dispproved. But there is one factor that clearly remained in the public record for those who wanted to find it. When he landed on Lazarus he reported that there was no sentient life, he also said there were signs that there had been sentient life and he ended it with the statement "What happened to them?"
