Northern Star is hot stuff, even though the virtual drama SEVEN was made twenty years ago, it is still hot stuff. Michiko Torres inherited the firm from her father Dominic Vasili Torres who in turn built up a struggling streaming concern started by his mother, Michiko's grandmother, Olga Torres.

It is, as the ancient anthem claims, a long way to the top.

But now Northern Star has reached that pinnacle. It is the major streaming service through the northern settled regions and it also reaches into orbit, specifically Takarabune Station. It also controls two major dailies on Lazarus, the prestigious Lazarus Times and the Daily Worker, both read by significant proportions of the colonial population.

In fact the Daily Worker is heavily connected to those involved in archaeological work and the current dig sites under investigation. The paper has an entire section devoted to this area alone as well as the all the other common feature areas such as the economy, politics, crime, society etc.

But the corporation isn't resting on its laurels. It is heavily invested in virtuality projects be they virtual dramas, romances, fantasy, adult or gaming. Then there it's recording studio arm for aspiring rock/pop/rap stars, Mandrake Studios has already signed up DJ Kurokaze to their label and are hoping for big things from a major indie act.

Interestingly of the two mega stars who made it big as actors with the release of SEVEN, only Luna 'Moonlight' Delgado has any contact with the group. Signed to Nakajima Talent, she frequently makes appearances at premieres, award nights and other corporate functions. There is a rumour out on the streets that Delgado is a significant shareholder in the group, though no one has ever been able to prove it.

Soviet American law allows for obfuscation of shareholders identities. According to Central, the body which governs Krasnygorod, this is to protect individuals privacy and the privacy of vested interests. It is this factor that has prompted many corporations to establish themselves (and in some cases re establish) in the city even though it is a 'workers' paradise.

As of this present time, the only major efforts on the horizon is an upcoming release from DJ Kurokaze followed by a potential tour. Insiders though say the CEO and her team are looking at expanding services onto Novo Mir as well Ascension Stations within the next twelve to eighteen months. Big things appear to be ahead for the group.
