• Laranja (Bra) = literally orange, commonly used to designate a front, a facade for criminal business also the UN $100 bill "Here have a laranja, that should keep you quiet no?"
• Mobster = member of the Mob aka Yakuza
• The Mob = Yakuza
• Organizatsiya (Sov) aka the Org = Bratva syndicate
• Posse (Jam) = street gang, posses often have political leanings or martial arts affiliations (capoeira etc)
• Prolemobile = car drive by proles aka workers
• Proles = short for proletariat, the working class
• Razboynik (Sov) = bandit, razboyniki (plural)
• Scavvie = scavengers
• Snake Eater = member of the Agency of Special Projects (ASP)
• Soldat (Sov) = member of a Bratva syndicate
• Stukach (Sov) = snitch or informant
• Suit = a representative of either a corp, government or criminal organisation
• Vorovka (Sov) = thief, can be a pickpocket, burglar, bank robber or a data thief

COLLOQUIALISMS

• Apparatchik (Sov) = member of either a political party or the UN government, often applied derogatorily
• Chimera = genetically modified human, outlawed in several areas on Earth & unknown on Lazarus
• Common Era = calendar accepted by UN authorities & agencies
• DC = Dysonist Calendar, dates start from the point when Ryu'ichi Dyson made landfall on Lazarus, not officially accepted
• Diggers = archaeologists
• Dysonists = folllowers of Ryu'ichi Dyson
• Exo Tech = Exotic Technology, the artefacts & relics of the planet's previous inhabitants
• Kaisha-in (Jap) = company employee
• Kodan (Jap) = company
• Lazarenes = a) the previous inhabitants of Lazarus who have been dubbed Monolith Carvers and Canal Builders b) the current inhabitants
• SC = Settlement Calendar; dates from 2105 CE which is the 'accepted' date of settlement on Lazarus.
• Separatists = anti UN, pro independence, seaparatist groups want to carve their own way independent of Earth
• Unionists = pro UN, seek to see Lazarus become a sovereign entity & member of the UN
