The Dragon Lance

Legends of the Dragon Lance are wide spread and adored among many cultures. The most common iteration is the tale of it's creation by the hand of Imperious. 
  The Dragon Lance is believed to have been forged in the scorching fires of the sun itself, imbued with a piercing tip made from the legendary metal, adamantine. Its creation was not a mere feat of mortal craftsmanship but a celestial endeavor, carried out with a specific purpose in mind. The primary intention behind the creation of the Dragon Lance was to vanquish the formidable Black Dragon Dagon, the Stygian Lord of Duress. Dagon was no ordinary dragon; he was the sibling of Imperious, and his evil influence spread darkness and chaos throughout the Lands of Antiquity. When the Dragon Lance was finally wielded against Dagon, it did not accomplish its intended purpose of slaying the nefarious dragon. However, it managed to achieve something equally extraordinary. The lance, guided by the divine will of Imperious, pierced through Dagon's obsidian scales, causing the dragon to bleed profusely. From the droplets that fell from Dagon's wound, the first of the Dathte were born.
