Scions of Karutarsis
While the name of Karutarsis may be taboo or even openly mocked, his Scions are feared across all cultures and nations who have seen their strength.
When one becomes a Scion they are given the name of Karutaros followed by their preferred name. Their prominence in combat can be attributed to their mastery of many unconventional fighting styles, weaponry and use of arcane or even clerical arts. While each Scion is unique, they do share one thing in common. Each wears a mask made of a bone-like material the appearance of which is of course distinct between each individual. Some masks resemble animals, some have humanoid shape and others are wholly different. These masks are sacred to the Scions and they will refuse to remove them when asked. As such they are not welcome in settlements near the Shifting Desert.
