The Knights of the Watch
Started during the Third Age, Knights of the Watch have become the premier knights errant in Rosalind.
Structure
The Knights of the Watch are a loose collection of knights errant. Members begin as squires to a particular knight. After learning the skills of knighthood, they are dubbed knight. There are no ranks above knight, but knights tend to give greater respect and deference to more senior knights.
Public Agenda
The Knights of the Watch are tasked with patrolling the borders of Rosalind and finding and eliminating threats to the kingdom. They are typically found patrolling the borders of Hobriland and Osseus, although the latter is also watched by the religious order of knighthood, the Knights of the Blazing Sun.
The Knights of the Watch are trained to be monster hunters. They generally work solo or in pairs, but when needed, they can organize into large troops.
History
After King Berran the Eager (known after his death as Berran the Overeager) of Rosalind failed to establish a foothold in Hobriland he established the Knights of the Watch to patrol the borders of Osseus and Hobriland.
