Royal Department Of Security Investigation
The Royal Department of Security Investigation, also known as the RDSI, is the military force that works under the empires and kingdoms. Most notably, they are used by the Kingdom of Trumore, Kingdom of Roris, and Empire of Shirin. Each have separate uses for their own RDSI, but is primarily used as a knighthood and police force. The movement of each kingdom's/empire's individual RDSI is closely monitored by the other kingdoms/empires. Any movement towards the borders are viewed as a possible attack. This is why any missions or reconnaissance near the boarders must be cleared through the other governments/royalty. Otherwise it may lead to war.
Structure
The current King and Queen or Emperor and Empress are the overall head of the RDSI. They can assign a Grand Master to run the day-to-day tasks of the organization. There are also various other roles within the organization. Each role has a leader or master that is specifically in charge of all of them. The leaders report directly to the Grand Master.
Ambassador: They manage relations between the other nations and occasionally works with the spies.
Beastmaster: They train, raise, handle, and tend to the animals used by the other branches.
Calvary: The military unit that uses horses to do their daily patrols.
Demonologist: The researchers of demons as well as the afterlife and necromancy in general.
Detective: The investigators of crimes and possible plots against the crown.
Executioner: The enforcers of the law in a literal sense; they carry out the executions.
Healer: They are the healers and medics of the entire organization, different from the Royal Healers.
Knight: The day-to-day enforcers of the law within the capitol and protectors of the crown.
Marshal: The captains of Knight units, essentially the direct commanding officers.
Pilot: The "eye in the sky" for the organization, using various different methods of flight.
Procurer: They are the ones that gather and disperse any items that are needed in the organization.
Runecrafter: They are the mages and wizards of the organization, they make the enchantments for the organization.
Spy: They are in charge of all of the covert operations, foreign and domestic reconnaissance, and assassinations.
Warden: They are the guards of the Royal Jails and Royal Prisons, they are usually Knights as well.
Public Agenda
Their agenda is to protect the crown and fulfill their duty to their job. Loyalty and excellence in service is valued above all.
Assets
The RDSI is very wealthy due to being directly funded by their respective crown. The Grand Master has the ability to disperse the assets among the organization as needed. Each section has a set, yearly budget that they can use as the designated leader sees fit.
History
When the first chosen couples realized they needed more people to help them they collectively decided to make the Royal Department Of Security Investigation for each of their nations. They decided on a uniform organization that could later be tailored to the kingdom/empire's needs. As they grew as rulers and as people the uniformity of their organizations would help them to learn together as a collective. Creating more unity and harmony amongst the rulers while they could still do as they thought was best.
Territories
The territory of the Royal Department Of Security Investigation is specifically over the capitol city, but extends to the entire territory of the nation they serve.
Military
The organization is a sort of citizen military. They won't be the ones fighting in wars, but they do protect the citizens and their royal family.
Technological Level
Out of all other organizations, they are some of the most technologically advanced. They employ some of the brightest and strongest minds in their respective nation. They have many secret projects as well as a few that are public knowledge. They have many alchemists and powerful magic users within their ranks.
Religion
Like the rest of the world, they worship the Twenty Two. The organization's patron Goddess is the Chariot. Her symbol is commonly seen with the members, but it is not a requirement to be a follower of the Chariot. Other Gods can be worshiped and followed.
Foreign Relations
Foreign relations are managed by the Royal Department Of Security Investigation's ambassadors. They are the ones sent to manage the relationships between the other nations. They have also historically served as the cover for the Royal Family's spies as well. Although they serve as the cover, they don't usually participate in the act of spying. The only situation where they participate is if there is no assigned spy and the need arises for more in depth information, or the spy assigned to the detail needs help so their cover doesn't get blown.
Trade & Transport
All trade and transport is taken care of by the procurers. They are excellent at their job and have been known for their fair deals as well as their faithful business. Working with this organization is an almost guarantee that your business with flourish. They commonly use more obscure yet efficent trade routes and change them often to avoid being tracked or ambushes.
Education
Before anyone can join in any role in the organization they must receive training. Depending on which job they want this could be from six months to four years. This is so they are the right people for the job as well as test their loyalty to the crown.
