Governmental Association of Canni
The Governmental Association of Canni, known in-world as 'Geerikila Covverka ed Canni' or 'GCC', is the organization Canni is run by. It is in charge of general government, local voting, local laws, supporting state lawmaking, miltary, law enforcement, infrastructure oversight, and other services. The Canni mayor, Andren Retts, is a key player in this system. It is led by pernament Government Oversight Kenil Vector (until he dies or quits). GCC is a meritocracy, although still affected by the Wells legacy (Canni was only founded in 1830).
It has small subsections for each service/state function.
It was founded by Canni founder Denzin Wells' eldest son, Jerumy Wells, after D. Wells' death, lead by him for a while, until he died of an illness at 71 years old. He had support of GCC leadership by his wife, Hezzy Wells, and two of five children, Seara Benner and Adrin Wells. Seara's husband, Adol Benner, was a Ethics Oversight worker. Many minor positions were filled by the descendants of the other 20 that had come with D. Wells. It was founded in 1872, when J. Wells was 40 years old, a year after D. Wells' death.
Many employees are Wells descendants, although usually in minor positions. Retts is an exception to the latter however, being a distant descendant to D. Wells.
This crest was designed in 1962 by Wells descendant Annaha Been, the daughter of Infrastructure Manager Kenno Been. In 1960, Kenia, the country Canni is under, made their official language Jener.
Meaning: The shape is vaguely of a shield, symbolizing power and protection. Its gold border shows power. The pink middle means loyalty- a softened red because red was seen as too intense. The weapon designed, a setter, an ancient Floowoian two-part weapon, is depicted. the shorter part was used for defense, while the longer, curved part was used for offense. The instriptions show their history and struggles when founding Canni.
