Letter from Astrid

My Dearest Dúrnir,

As the nights grow colder the empty side of my bed seems to mock me. Where once you laid now is nothing but my broken heart. Why would they send you to that horrible mine? Years on this useless exploration that has left more dead than ever could help us protect ourselves, let alone attack them. Grýla also sent me a parcel last week, with one of the finished daggers. I was glad i could hold a little piece of you through the dagger even though I know you’d never touch the material. The saddles as you know were a big failure, turns out the dragons were affected by it. Not sure if only the ones here or any type, but regardless, that changes our plan to some extent but nothing that the powerful Hyndla can’t fix or replan around. I’ll wait for you at Cahal at the same place as always, at 11 you will see the birds flying, then come meet me, my love.
