Zah
The Zah elves are a group of refugees from the Daraşai empire who fled eastwards through the sea of fire and up into the Underworld of Oras where they establishing a small settlement. When the Deep Rot reached the settlement, the Zah were eventually driven up to the surface.

The Zah speak a variety of Dreatş. Now, on the surface, some have begun learning Syrtys to facilitate trade and communication with other surfacers.

When greeting or thanking another, it is customary to place one hand on your chest and exhale audibly.

Historical figures
Zanşurrun the reformer: The dreatş who attempted to reform the empire with the Zah, or "breath", movement. His efforts failed, and after his execution, his surviving followers fled the empire. They named their new civilization after his movement.
