Deep Rot
The Deep Rot is a blight that spreads from Esira's prison and worms its way through the surrounding underworld. It has spread under the entire Oras Archipelago. Lightbringers, paladins of The Church of Light, work tirelessly to eradicate any Deep-rot that reaches the surface of Icecrown. To the south, the Fire Dancers of the Temple of Flame do the same. Unfortunately, the collapse of Tisserian and The Empire of Scale has greatly reduced the power of these orders and allowed the Deep Rot to begin spreading to the surface.
