Points of Interest
Blightelf Ranger Posts: throughout the forest, raised platforms in the trees serve as bases for rangers patrolling against incursions from the beyond the forest. The rangers here will trade with any who are known (or provable) allies of Tranquility. Anyone else will be attacked or apprehended should they discover a post as the rangers wish to keep their locations secret. The Faerie Court: Centered around an ancient tree, the oldest and tallest in Thielien Forest, this is a place where the Mortal and Other worlds blend together. A ring of ancient henges surrounds the tree, although many are crumbling and some have collapsed. This primordial henge is a relic from the First Age. Others exist in Icecrown, but this is the greatest in size. Several treants roam this area and they are allied with the Faeries. Kaolin Island: Kaolin island is a small island opposite Tranquility's Harbor. In addition to shielding the harbor from storms, the island is home to a Kaolinite Mine on its far side. Silkenwood: A section of the forest with a large concentration of Feyspiders. Ruins of Kata Thielien: This Tisseri city shared its name with the forest in which it was located. The ruins sit along the Thielien River and the North Road runs through them.Geography
The Thielien river flows down from The Crags of Alerikas, passes through the forest and The Permafrost, and into the sea by Wyrmslayer Isle.
Fauna & Flora
Thielien Forest is home to large conifers that block sunlight from reaching the forest floor, resulting in a lack of underbrush. Few animals inhabit this dark forest due to the lack of vegetation, but various fey creatures do wander the region, making it extremely dangerous to traverse.
