The Cold Pass
A high pass leading over the Crags of Alerikas to the northern lands beyond. The The Empire of Scale carved the cliffside highway that crosses the pass during its heyday. The Tisseri refurbished the crumbling highway calling it the North Road. In the days of the Tisseri Empire the pass was kept clear of danger, but now travelers through the pass face attacks from monsters, orks, and goblins.
The Empire of Scale's administrative capital for Icecrown was located above the pass. The fortress has long been abandoned, however, and most of it lies buried under millennia of snow and ice. Some of its spires still rise above the glacier at the top of Mt. Seru, the tallest mountain overlooking the pass.
