Bonecrusher Citadel

Bonecrusher Citadel is the heart of the Bonecrusher Orks' power. The citadel is more properly a valley in The Crags of Alerikas. It has a single entrance, the canyon through which the Iceblood river leaves the valley. The Bonecrushers have erected a massive bailey over the river and the road at its bank in order to control access to the valley. The valley is dotted with pastures and farms that grow feed for their herds. An iron mine is located in the valley, but the Deep Rot has rendered it unusable, and the orks have collapsed the entrance.

Points of Interest

Bonecrusher Castle: Nestled on a cliff overlooking the valley, Bonecrusher Castle is the result of years of labor by the clan and their slaves. The castle itself is made of large stone blocks and situated with an unscalable cliff rising above its back and another cliff descending before it. The Iceblood river cascades into the castle from the cliff above and flows down into the valley below.   The Slave Pits: The Bonecrusher orks regularly send out raiding parties to capture slaves and plunder. Captured slaves are brought back to the citadel's slave pits. From here, orks can purchase slaves to do menial work. Some slaves work the farms, others work as porters or similar labor, and finally captured craftspeople work as indentured craftsfolk.   The Temple of the Great Maul: The Bonecrushers revere a Maruthar known to them as the Great Maul. Her temple in the citadel looks more like a fortress than a place of worship. Its center point is an arena where gladiators fight for the glory of the goddess. The priests of the Great Maul sacrifice slaves to her on holidays. Although she is trapped in Shomor, her priests are able to channel some of her power which they use for a variety of purposes including trying to forestall the Deep Rot's expansion into the valley.
