Artifice

Artifice is the art of fusing magic and technology. Artificers, those who study and perform this craft, use various magical techniques to create enchanted devices capable of fantastic feats including teleportation, flight, sailing through rivers of magma and more.   Artifice was at its height during the first age when Thraneveld provided all of the Overworld with spellrock to fuel their mystical machines. After the Kataroth, artifice faded from use for millennia until the Iron Kingdoms and Empire of Eleyha rediscovered the art. Later, The Empire of Scale learned the art from the Iron Kingdoms and the Empire of Manasa developed their own version using sunrock from the Innerworld. The Daraşai Dominion also had extensive knowledge of artifice, allegedly based on the Eleyhan arts.   In the current age, only Manasa retains the skill.
