Wyndhæm Matsur ayi Han

Ayawdzots Wyndhæm Matsur Azure Shahtsadeh, ayi Han, The Han of Shethhi

Matsur is the Han of Shethhi, a "small" estate in the Tempests of Shaidaz, a satrapy ruled by his father Ha-han Azan. He has at his disposal a cohort of air elemental myrmidons, commanded by Chidekru Dzu Rengsahchawybab, a djinn general.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Heritage

Matsur was raised as part of the nobility of the Plane of Air, plus he bears the natural hauteur of a member of the Summer Court, due to his mother’s influence, for he is a child of Azan, Ha-han of the Tempests of Shaidaz, Satrapy of the Court of Storms and Lady Egai, the Baroness of the Bottomless Bay, ruler of the Nereids of the Realm of Vigor, an Archfey in her own right.

Exile

Azan banished Matsur from Shaidaz, including their own demesne of Shethhi. The Ha-han did so because Matsur’s behavior was rude and impulsive in court and when in public. The young genasi’s deportment reflected a chaotic nature and an arrogance not supported by their official title (which was little more than social ornamentation and a small manor of several tens of thousands of cubic miles). In fact, Azan exiled Matsur from the Plane of Air, entirely.

He went on to track the Saints of Fate, whom he heard about from Befda, a fellow Airea exile, to Saercumar. He found them there in the midst of overturning a vampire coup of the very city government. In the wake of that horror, he faced – with them – the King of Nightmares.

Knowing that they needed to get to the Plane of Air to retrieve the Primordial Wind, Matsur joined the Saints of Fate, in hopes of serving as their guide and proving himself worthy of a place in Azan’s court.

They traveled with the adventuring troupe, finding their way across much of Tunsaccia and through the Sokinan Mountains. They helped climb Mt. Chirla and helped evade the Tempest Ahmsu set there against intruders. Once into the cave where the portal to the Plane of Air was located, they acted, as best they could, as a guide despite their exile. They learned that they had safe passage and traveled to the very Palace of Wind and Air, from which Ahmsu rules her Plane. Having once glimpsed her from afar, he had been a fickle novitiate of hers, infatuated with her. Standing directly in her presence, he was part of the handover of one of the greatest artifacts in the Spheres – the Primordial Wind.

Reinstatement

Upon completing their mission, they returned to Azan’s court. There Matsur was welcomed back into the court and restored to their position as Han of Shethhi. He bade their farewell to the Saints of Fate and resumed his life of luxury, but in a (slightly) more humble and much less tempestuous state.

Azan has granted Matsur a cohort of air elemental myrmidons, commanded by the djinn Chidekru Dzu Rengsahchawybab.
