Crorrm, the Arcane Mother
Divine Domains
Tenets of Faith
As Understood in Calpi
- Power Must Be Accountable. All magical or arcane authority is inherently dangerous and must be governed by principles, not ambition.
- The Purpose of Knowledge is Not Dominion, But Balance. Magical research, invention, and practice must be tethered to the ethical impact on the world and its people.
- Magic is Not Freedom; It is Responsibility. Spellcasters are held to a higher moral standard, as their mistakes can unmake reality.
- Disorder Invites Collapse. Chaos—whether political, magical, or metaphysical—erodes the foundations of civilization and must be tempered through discipline, clarity, and structured learning.
- The Ignorant Must Be Taught; The Willful Must Be Bound. Forgiveness is offered to those who err from ignorance. Those who abuse power knowingly must be stopped—by law, binding, or judgment.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
The Arcane Mother seeks to guide those who use magic toward a path of balance, avoiding the temptations of overwhelming power. They can corrupt the soul. Or, as in her history, they can foment distrust and jealousy that can be the downfall of the arcanist.

Personal history
Originally, Crorrm was the goddess of arcane mastery. She rose to prominence around four thousand years ago. In 1865 AscD, she was betrayed by Puava, a Ditincian goddess of magic. Puava convinced the Draconic Goddess Efrang that Crorrm was plotting to give mortals access to all magic in the Spheres, which was a lie. Efrang charged Puava to gather a contingent of like-minded younger gods and eliminate this (perceived) threat to the created order. Puava enlisted the aid of the other Ditincian gods, as well as the Khulding goddess Ehkehn. Crorrm successfully defended herself from their attacks, but the effort forced her into exile in Ether.
She has built a palace there named Stoilved. Crorrm has long since recovered and could easily return to Kornax, but for now, she has chosen to remain in Ether. From Stoilved, she observes Kornax, occasionally imparting arcane knowledge to those whom she deems worthy.
Intellectual Characteristics
Crorrm fears magic's ability to unravel the fabric of reality, bringing about an age of chaos and destruction that not even the gods could reign in.
Morality & Philosophy
Magic is to be used for the good of all, not to enhance the power of the individual. The individual may realize power, but it should only be expressed in service to all.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Crorrm prefers to observe events unfold from the shadows, often influencing outcomes with a mere whisper. She never reveals the totality of her power, choosing instead to manifest her influence subtly.
