Mizzy grew up in a small village called The Three Pines in the North East. One child in a large family, he was bored growing up. It was a very normal village, not very large, and so the entertainment options were limited. Knowledge was limited as well, but the local lord, Lord Marrik Stonebow, would let the children from nearby villages use his personal library freely from time to time in the name of education. It was about 1,5 hours walk from the Three Pines, but Mizzy made the journey gladly whenever he was able. Once he was old enough, he went to the temple of Beory in search of knowledge. The temple wasn’t the largest dedicated to Beory, but it was the largest one where he could travel without too much difficulty alone. The temple had a library at least twice the size of that of Lord Stonebow, and so he was content. For while. He found a special connection with Beory, and when he spent time behind the temple in a meadow by the river, sometimes he swore he could have felt her presence. After a while at the temple he found that hechad been blessed by her and that she had granted him the power of a cleric. The time of course came when he had gained all you could in the ways of knowledge from the temple, and started looking for a way to continue learning and finding adventure. The answer came in the form of an old relic. In a book no one seemed to have read in a very long time, he found mentions of an old relic. It was holy to Beory, and used to be carried from temple to temple, blessing a different temple of hers each year between the different kingdoms before the Empire. The texts were unclear on what exactly it was, but it carried her blessing and gave power to those who followed her. Since it had disappeared, the influence of Beory had waned. The Relic had last been seen when it left the Mirenna Temple (the one Mizzy spent time at), when it was being taken to the largest temple dedicated to Her, the one in the old Capital of the old south west kingdom of Correlin. However, this was 650 years ago, when the current Empire was waging war on Correlin. Just as the Relic reached its goal, the Imperial army descended upon the capital, crushing it and leaving only ruins. The Relic was lost, and no one has seen it since.   Mizzy was tasked by the Cleric Serena to find out if the rumored necromancer was her old friend Theirastra in exchange for information about the relic.
