Ulf Harding
Ulf Harding (1160 - 1222; Alternatively "Wulf") is the third born child of Queen Thomasin of Paignton and the earliest known bearer of the surname "Harding".
He was born in 1160 to Queen Thomasin, being one of seven children. He was reportedly able to speak French and Etorean Gaelic by his teen years. Ulf married Jeanne Harding (née Wood) in 1178, together the pair had five children while living at Henwick Castle. Ulf died in 1222 after he was knocked off of his horse after it was startled by a fox and drowning in the River Hen. He is burried in the Harding Family Crypt near Henwick.
