GSRoE Class 411 №421

Great Southern Railway of Etorea №421 is a member of the 411 Class of 0-6-0Ts. She was built in 1891 to a design by John Alvey. She was used on suburban passenger trains around the Bereior area running trains from Shanross to Vale Wood Station where the GSRoE met with the Bereoir Railway.   In 1915, she was religated to goods services as stronger and faster engines had taken over the duties that the 411 class had performed. She was moved inland to Straclone and was used on general goods serivces through the nationalisation of the railways until post World War 2. In 1948, she was moved into departmental stock as №14 and was sent back to Shanross where she ran engineer trains along with a sister engine that was alocated to Poolside. The pair often double headed ballast trains for infrastructure projects.
