ER&SR №s 2 - 7 / Class 1

East Redwick & Strand Railway №s 2 - 7, later dubbed the "Class 1" during their sale or scrapping by the North Etorean Railway, were a group of five 2-2-2 passenger locomotives purchased from Sharp Brothers and Company in Manchester, England. The locomotives were ordered in May 1840, arriving between September 1840 and April 1841. The delay in their arrivals were caused by several ports being frozen, with ships being unable to dock.
The locomotives were used on both goods and passenger trains along side №1 and the later the 2-4-0s purchased from Beyer, Peacock & Company and Brotherhoods of Culcarden. They ran unmodified until 1857 when all locomotives were rebuilt as 2-2-2 and 2-4-0 tank engines
