Forbidden City-Twilight Citadel

The seat of power of The Lich King . a city shrouded in magical darkness. mostly populated and run by the undead the city needs little provisions.

To enter the city, one must first brave the barren plains of eternal night that lays around it.

Those who are invited, typically start their journey by sailing up the black river to the royal docks. there with sufficient permits, a traveler would be pointed to the lantern-lit path to the city.

The Dark Citadel was built after the coronation of the Lich King. It is relies upon the power of Dragons Blood, syphoned by an ancient ritual performed here named The Dance of the Dead .

Underneath the city lies the remains of a long dead Duergar city built into the cavernous system of ancient dragon-blood aquifers. the caverns are part of a vast underground realm that spans across the continent, called the Underdark.

The city is has peripheral walls and it is segmented into quarters by internal walls.

Most of the work and guarding is done by undead in this bustling metropolis.

The district of the Royal palace is enshrouded in magical darkness only true sight can overcome.
