Dominion of Western Australia
The Dominion of Western Australia is a nation of the western third of the island of Australia, bordering the Republic of Australia.
History
The Dominion of Western Australia was joined into the Dominion of Australia in 1901. As a part of the British Empire, Australians were compelled into military service during the Great War.
Western Australia had always felt they had a distinct identity from the east, and as such sought to remain seperate from them. An opportunity arose during the onset of the World War, wherein the east burned down the Australian Parliament House and declared a republic. Western Australia, being more loyal to Great Britain, elected to remain as a dominion. Though the two sides did not directly fight each other, the west recieved push back from a pro-republican group the Australian Society for Monarchical Overthrow, or A.S.M.O.
