A. Mitchell Palmer

Alexander Mitchell Palmer was an Oregonian politician who served as the President of Oregon from 1916 to 1920. During his tenure, he saw Oregon's stance of neutrality during the Great War during the Congress of Columbia, though facilitated funds to Great Britain through Canada. Many nations, particularly America, saw this as hypocritical. With the rise of the Comintern Republic, he fought hard for the prosecution of those that would see the rise of communism in Oregon. He is credited for bringing about the "Red Scare" of Oregon.
