Hut Islands
The Hut Islands rise like broken shells from the steaming expanse of the Meltwater, a sea so caustic it eats through flesh and steel as readily as sand. Here, among jagged reefs and blackened beaches, stands Hut Hill, brood-throne of the Western Hive and seat of their elusive Queen. Unlike their kin elsewhere, the hivers of Hut Islands are born with an uncanny resistance to the Meltwater’s sting, their very skin toughened by generations steeped in its fumes and spray. To outsiders, the islands are a death sentence, yet to the Western Hive they are sanctuary.
