Faust Beloerd

The militaristic force of the Belthos faith, this order was formed under Mattaias Raeneir as a means of inspiring fear and controlling any who did not believe as he did. During the first Voelgre Fever outbreak, this force was instrumental in rooting out any suspected of wrongdoing within the communities, which continued unabated through the Belthite War as well.  

A Refined Weapon For Civilized Times

Following the Ruana Compact, Mecaenin changed the focus of Faust Beloerd to be peacekeepers and less militaristic than their past enterprises. Several companies balked at the severe restrictions placed upon them, forcing Mecaenin to put them to death - under his rule, Belthos would practice the peaceful intents that they preached.   With the majority of the bad seeds removed, Faust Beloerd's refocused tasks were restructured to better suit the needs of the modern Belthos faith.  

The Untershul

As with any faith, whenever significant challenges are made to the practiced teachings of the faith, something must always be done. To this end, the Faust Beloerd would be in charge of managing tribunals overseen by Guiders for any heretical sects. These tribunals, the Untershul, were the final say in terms of defending the faith.  

Ish'kerred and Lepers

Another key feature of Faust Beloerd's tasks was the hunting and elimination of any Ish'kerred roaming in Kendaira's backwater lands and villages. Quite often this resulted in arrests and public executions, showing the world who the dangers to the world's peace truly were.   However, because the effects of Ish'ker corruption and leprosy have several similarities, quite often lepers are instead brought in for execution instead of the Ish'ker. The distinction is minimal in the face of maintaining public order, however, which is why there are no attempts to curtail this activity.
