The Centaur Ride
These Plains were originally known as The Great Western Plains by the Pelosi Elves,until the arrival of the Centaur Tribes,then it became known as The Centaur Ride. The plains stretch for hundreds of miles in all directions until reaching the western coast and have a mixture of features including The Silver River,Rolling Hills,Marshland,Ravines and rocky outcroppings,small wooded areas,fertile farmland,Tall grasses and The Lake of Stars.
Geography
The Silver River
The Silver River flows from its beginning in The Kingdom of Gondonia,through The Kingdom & Independent Elosia,into The Kingdom of Pelosia,ending its journey on the western coast flowing into the sea.This great river is the lifeblood of many people.
The Lake of Stars
This great lake is more like an inland sea,its size stretching from Thirty to sixty miles at its longest point.The lake was given its name because of the reflection of the stars playing across its surface in the moonlit hours.This lake has many species of fish in its depths.
Rolling Hills & Tall Grasses
Their are many areas where the plains become rolling hills teeming with wildlife such as Deer,Goats & Sheep,Wild Fowl to name just a few,then their is the area known as 'The Great Grass Sea',by the Centaurs which has tall grasses (Alfala Grass,Pelosi named) which can grow from seven to nine feet in height.
Ravines & Rocky Outcroppings
Travellers must be wary when crossing in certain areas,looking out for sudden openings in the ground or sharp jutting rocks cutting through the earth,these can be a danger to Man and Beast.Wooded areas & Marshland
Scattered woodland,remnants of the great Centaur Wood which lies further to the south,and patchy marshland the closer you are to the river and lake shore cover vast areas and make travel slower and more dangerous in these parts.Fertile Farmland
Their are many areas of the plains that have very fertile soil and over the years have been turned into farmland growing Wheat,grains,fruits & vegetables and raising livestock by the Pelosi and the Pelosian people.Fauna & Flora
