Mapach
Clever, nocturnal, and nimble-fingered, the Mapach thrive in dense jungles, cluttered cities, and any place where scraps and shadows are plentiful. These raccoon-like humanoids are natural tinkerers and survivalists—cunning enough to steal a gem from a noble’s pocket or build a crossbow from scrap wood and string. Whether playing rogue, artificer, or curious druid, Mapachs scrounge their way through life with ingenuity and grit.

Mapach Traits
- Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
- Expert Climbers: You have a climb speed of 20 feet.
- Resilience: You have advantage on saving throws against poison and resistance to poison damage.
- Scroungecraft: You are proficient with Tinker’s Tools. You can spend 10 minutes to create a crude but functional version of any adventuring item or tool worth 30 gp or less using materials in your environment. These items last for 1 hour before falling apart unless stated otherwise (e.g. one-use items).
- If the item is used in a way that would destroy it—such as ammunition or acid—it is consumed immediately.
- With appropriate materials, you may spend 8 hours to make a scroungecrafted item permanent.
- Scroungecrafted items may be rough or obviously improvised unless you are proficient in the relevant tools.
- At the GM’s discretion, some items may be too complex or specific to scroungecraft effectively.
- Skulker: You have advantage on Stealth checks made in dim light or darkness.
Languages
- You can speak, read, and write Common and two additional languages of your choice.
